I think this is the one I'm going with. It's kind of stroky and inspired by a Jodie West Video clip, but it was a blast to write and is good old fashioned clean dirty fun. Need to trim a little off though as its 10,950 www.smashwords.com/books/view/704839

Hi there, guys. I'm back after a wonderful fish fry filled with screaming children. Ah, family. I love them more when I'm far away. : ) I came up with the following ideas for titles while I was driving. Indecent Relations Family Sexcapades Deviant Desires Perverse pleasures Family Unions But unless everyone falls in love with one of the above, I am fine with "Taboo Trysts." Here is the book I had in mind. It hasn't been the best seller on Smashwords, which is kind of puzzling. It's a kissing cousins story, with a tiny bit of D/s thrown in. Right now it clocks in at 14K, but I can trim it down so it doesn't unbalance the rest of the anthology. www.smashwords.com/books/view/705165Jo told me that right now she has a trial membership to BigStock, so if we have some time in the next few days, maybe we can give her some ideas. Just send her an e-mail with the links, and she can take a look and download the one we choose. I think I might choose to defer to the ladies about which couple looks best. I am NOT the best judge of good-looking guys (thank god). Regarding the payment for the artwork, I am wide open. We can either all pay Jo $4, or one of us can pay her $20 and the rest of us can chip in to make it up to the one who pays. It all comes out even in the end. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

alana- I like "Indecent Relations" and "Family Unions." @laura- A 10,950 word story sounds like it doesn't need to be trimmed to me. Are we setting a hard limit at 10K? I was thinking about using an 11,500 word story because that was pretty close but if we need to be exactly at 10K I may chop something else to fit.

Oh, perhaps I spoke too soon. The first quarter of "Sharing My Sister's Bed" actually has a nice beginning and ending spot. I may go with that instead.

I think the word Taboo or Family needs to be in the title. I don't think unions is an erotic word or really calls out sex. I know technically it does, but anything that makes a buyer go "Huh?" may not work, it takes very little for the flighty to go onto the next book. Sexcapades could work.... Keeping it in the Family could work, but maybe a little long. Love family style? I'm okay with Taboo Trysts though if nothing else grabs everyone.

Alexa has signed on here, but hasn't weighed in yet. All others are fine with Boruma publishing and Moira making the cover, but we'll wait on her before we lock that in.

I don't think we need to do a hard stop at 10K. At least, I wasn't planning on it. If we run a thousand words or so over, I don't think anyone is going to fuss.

A good graphic artist can reduce or maybe even eliminate most of the hair. But yeah, it is very frustrating. There aren't nearly as many male models available, so I guess they're using what they can get. The geeky ones...probably someone's brother, cousin, son, etc., who's willing to pose in exchange for a few bucks. But even there, amazing changes can be made to the facial structure if the angle of the face is right. We took a total dork...you know the one, Laura; he was on the cover of your "Private Lessons" cover. For Pornelope's new book "Sex In The Stacks," we sculpted his nose, reduced the bulging forehead, reshaped the chin, and shrank his puffy lips. (We'll do the same when we revisit your cover...it's one of the ones Moira wants to redo now that we know more about face sculpting.) He's still not what I'd consider attractive, but a whole lot better. I remember another one we did, Franki McAllister's "His Father's Lover." The two guys on the cover are actually identical twins. Using Corel's Face Filter program, we widened the left face, bulked up the muscles around his neck and jaw, and aged him about 15 years. Then we lightened his hair some. The result was two men with a strong resemblance who could conceivably be father and son. It's amazing what you can do if you have some good graphic tools and you're willing to experiment a little. :-D

That's amazing! When I finally finish the paranormal lesbian romance I'm working on I'd love to have Moira do the cover. I'd commission it now but I haven't decided on a proper title yet.

If no one has any objections I think I'll submit the first volume of Sister Needs an Anal Lesson - www.smashwords.com/books/view/728746It's a recent title but it fits the word requirement. So what's the next step once we've picked out our stories? Send them over to Jo?

Veronica:
Well, right now I think we have stories from three out of the five of us. I think we still need them from Alexa and Summer.
The next step, I would think, would be to get some ideas for artwork over to Jo. I've already sent her a few ideas. But there are five of us, after all, and you guys might have better ideas for what will work on the cover than myself. So I'd encourage you to slide on over to BigStock and browse what's available.
Once we have all submitted some ideas, Jo and Moira will take a look, see what they think will work, and send us a proposed cover. Once we agree on that, we can send her our books, she will combine them into one big honkin' anthology, and we'll be rolling in dough in no time!

I'm deferring to everyone else on the cover. I'm in the middle of too many things at the moment and don't want to spend a long time looking at photos and then seeing what everyone else thinks about them.
I originally came up with the anthology idea and rounded up some interested parties and came up with the idea of using this forum(after Jo reminded me the cloud if public. I forget about those things because I never use it) and put in some ideas and feedback. So at this point I have my story and am just going to sit back and let others hash out the other things. For things like this I'm easy and can just go with the flow.

We only have a few days left on our BigStock membership, so please send us photo suggestions! Alana, the ones you sent were mostly too dark to be used; the models were way too difficult to see at thumbnail size (which is all most people ever see). The one with the red and gold background was already used by another author fairly recently. We could knock out the couple and flip them, and sub in a different background...that would make it look considerably different. But a good selection to choose from would be really nice.
Happy holiday weekend, everyone!
